very good peformance on a not so easy song to remember, lots of lyrics and the timing and lyrics are tricky.i liked it and thanks for sharing and keep keeping on.one of the truly last great hunter/garcia tunes.love how that song uses that "empty space"to convey the music and the emotion of the words.hope and despair all wrapped together leaving you with no true answer.only hunter and garcia could come up with.you got anymore tunes?thanks again.

thanks a lot bro appreciate it ;)

yea days between was my favorite of the new tunes.. such a strange and beautiful song.

I have a few songs up on youtube here's bertha
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAj5wvUpbmk

i kinda mess up on the lead but it's all good i'm not a fan of many takes ;p
it's a bit of a bitch to to play a lead solo with noone keeping time, for me at least

:)

just checked out the bertha and thought you pulled it off quite well such a fun song to play and a lot of space for the solo to venture.i stink at the guitar but have fun trying :)gave bertha a try before but it turned out horrible lol.going to check out your high time and ripple later on.here's his links to high time and ripple http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6V6_dUbyF0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CEkz_Nz0G4 thanks for sharing.

thanks man, hope u enjoy the others

As long as you have fun playin that's all that matters
I picked up the guitar when I was 15 around the same time I got into the dead so I kinda used garcia as a teacher along with others ;)

You're getting there, my man. I might suggest setting your guitar aside and practicing the vocals more while only singing along with a recording of the Dead playing the song so you can gain more strength in that area. Have a more definitive mental target of the notes within the melody in your head before actually arriving at the lyric that needs to be sung. Then attack the note vocally with greater precision. And like I said before, always keep an idea in mind about your emotional commitment to the song. But I sense improvement over your last video. Nice work.

I give him props for playin' and singin'......although I agree...a little mix technology....sample the solo and hit play at just the right moment and voila! You're laying down tracks w/ Jer!

it is a tough tune, I would never play it as a solo tune...it could work rearranged some...
